EMFIMASTIC ACRYLIQUE PLUS

EMFIMASTIC ACRYLIQUE PLUS is a one component plastic-elastic sealant based on acrylic water dispersion, which is classified in first category according to French SNJF standard.

APPLICATION AREAS

EMFIMASTIC ACRYLIQUE PLUS can be used in the building industry for joints between wooden or metal window frames and concrete or brickwork ; windowsills, skirting boards and aerated concrete ; wall and ceiling ; stairs and walls.

EMFIMASTIC ACRYLIQUE PLUS has CE marking for following application : sealant for facade elements for interior and exterior applications according to European Standard EN 15651-1 (F EXT-INT).
EMFIMASTIC ACRYLIQUE PLUS is classified as 12.5 P according to ISO 11600 standard.

EMFIMASTIC ACRYLIQUE PLUS is unsuitable for "sanitary joints" or "glazing" applications.
EMFIMASTIC ACRYLIQUE PLUS is not recommended on PE, PP, PTFE, glass, natural stone and bituminous surfaces.

MANUAL

Substrates preparation :
The substrates to be coated must be dust free and not have any traces of grease or other contaminants that could adversely affect the bonding performance.
Clean them with isopropyl alcohol or methylethylketone (MEK).
Check the compatibility of the solvent used with the substrates.
Solvents must comply with local regulations.
When using solvents, extinguish all sources of ignition and carefully follow the safety and handling instructions given by the manufacturer.
Allow the substrate to dry after degreasing.
If necessary, rub down metal surfaces beforehand. Clean them after rubbing down.
We recommend to clean concrete with a metal brush.
Use diluted EMFIMASTIC ACRYLIQUE PLUS (about 1 part of EMFIMASTIC ACRYLIQUE PLUS for 2 parts of water) as a primer for highly porous surfaces.
Adhesion tests prior to the application are recommended.

Application :
EMFIMASTIC ACRYLIQUE PLUS may be applied by a manual or pneumatic gun (in according to french SFJF recommendations to be sure to meet SNJF standard).
After application, use a wet putty knife to smooth the joint.
Do not apply at a temperature under 5 °C. In cold weather, store the cartridges at about 20 °C before use.

Cleaning :
Tools should be cleaned with water before setting of the sealant. After curing, abrasion is necessary.
