EMFIPARQUET PRO ECO is a single component adhesive based on silane terminated polymers curing under the effect of atmospheric or substrate moisture.
Its classifications EC 1PLUS-R according to EMICODE and A+ according to French decree n° 2011-321 EC 1PLUS-R guarantee a very low emission of VOC.
It is a soft adhesive complying with NF EN 14293 standard.
EMFIPARQUET PRO ECO obtained a fitness assessment report from FCBA (French Wood and Furniture Technical Centre) for the bonding of wooden parquet floors made according to standard NF B 54-008 and bonded according to standard NF P 63-202 (DTU 51.2) :
n° FCBA.IBC.342.371-ChD/SM-N°2013.492.1039-2 (massive oak up to 14x130 mm).


EMFIPARQUET PRO ECO is specially designed for all types of massive parquet floorings up to 130 mm width or for engineered parquet.
Its adhesion is good without primer to most substrates such as wood, water-repellent chipboard, concrete or anhydrite screeds, adhering paints, paving, stone.
The application is easy and is not aggressive to varnish.
EMFIPARQUET PRO ECO remains soft after curing, improving acoustic comfort of parquets.
Thanks to its good moisture and heat resistance, this adhesive is convenient for the laying of parquet in difficult environments such as heating floors.
For heating floors, it must be applied in full surface. In this case, EMFIPARQUET PRO ECO is convenient for massive parquets up to 130 mm width and 14 mm thickness, and for engineered parquets.
EMFIPARQUET PRO ECO is suited for use with reversible air conditioning systems (heating and cooling floors) under the reserve of guarantee of the manufacturer of parquet.


For substrate preparation and application, refer to DTU 51.2 (standard NF P 63-202).

Substrate preparation :
The substrates must be clean, dry, free of dust and grease.
Paving or flooring should not in any way be likely to expose parquet to rising or seepage of moisture.
Do not work at temperatures below 15 °C or when the relative humidity exceeds 65 %.
If necessary, heat and ventilate the room.
The surface should be even (maximum tolerance : 5 mm under a 2 m ruler).
The humidity of the parquet flooring should be between 7 and 11 %.
Substrate humidity level : < 3 % (< 0.5 % for anhydrite screeds).
On anhydrite screeds, mechanized rubbing down is necessary beforehand.
On heating floors, after 2 to 3 weeks of functioning, heating has to be stopped 48 h before working. Wait minimum 7 days before turning on heating gradually.
On difficult substrates (contact us) apply epoxy primer EMFIPRIM EPOXY with a roller before laying parquet or before levelling with self-levelling P3 compound.
At the moment of laying, the humidity level of the parquet should be nearly the same as subsequently.
The parquet should be stocked during 48 hours in the room before beginning bonding.

Application :
Uniformly spread onto the subfloor with an appropriate spatula(TKB16 is recommended). Lay the wood lathes into the wet adhesive film. Check the proper transfer on the lath back side.
If necessary, weight down the edges with sandbags until initial setting (4 to 6 hours).
Respect a gap of 10 to 20 mm all along the walls.
Do not walk on the parquet floor for 24 hours after bonding (at 20 °C).
However it is possible to walk lightly after 12 hours.
Allow to dry for at least 48 hours before sanding (for temperature between 20 and 23 °C and relative humidity of 50 %).
Cork or fibered underlayers :
Underlayers can be laid with EMFIPARQUET PRO ECO.
In order to accelerate the adhesive curing, it is convenient to wet the back side of the underlayer with a water spray (approx. 20 g/m²). Wait until hardening before laying parquet as indicated above.

Cleaning :
Tools should be cleaned with solution EMFINET 683 or with EMFICLEAN AL cloth before the adhesive has completely cured. After curing, mechanical cleaning is required.
