EMFIMASTIC PU SOL is a self-leveling moisture curing one component sealant based on polyurethane, which forms a flexible and resistant joint with very good adhesion on most materials.

EMFIMASTIC PU SOL can be used for interior or exterior joints sealings or horizontal expansion joints (industrial floor exposed to traffic, garage, warehouse).
It may be used for pavement sealing on materials like concrete or cement screed.
For difficult materials, such as PVC, raw aluminium, lacquered metal, perform preliminary tests to determine whether a surface preparation is necessary.
EMFIMASTIC PU SOL has CE Marking for the following field of application: " pedestrian walkways for interior and exterior applications used in cold climate according to norm EN 15651-4 ( PW EXT-INT CC )" with primer EMFIPRIM 2001 on concrete.

Substrate preparation :
The substrates must be clean, even, dry, free of dust, oil, grease and any contaminants that could harm bonding. On concrete or cement screed, if necessary, sand (or strip for repair works) and then clean any dust (aspiration, blowing). Do not use on recent bituminous substrates because of oil exudation risk.
If necessary (difficult surface, humid substrate or subjected to a high traffic), apply the primer EMFIPRIM 2001 and let it dry for 15 minutes.
Use a polyethylene foam backing in order to:
- avoid adhesion of the sealant on the bottom
- observe width/ depth ratio defined by the state of the art.
It is possible to realize joints from 10 to 35 mm width with this sealant.
Check the compatibility of the solvent used with the substrates.
When using solvents, extinguish all sources of ignition and carefully follow the safety and handling instructions given by the manufacturer or supplier.

Assembling :
EMFIMASTIC PU SOL can be applied by a manual or pneumatic gun or by a spreader.
This product should be used within 24 hours of opening the sausage or can ; otherwise, the sealant could cure inside.
Do not apply at a temperature under 5 °C.
Avoid any contact with non-cured MS, hybrid PU or silicone sealants as well as with alcohols or ammonia during curing.

Cleaning :
Tools can be cleaned with EMFINET 683 or acetone before the sealant has completely cured.
After curing, abrasion is necessary.
