EMFIMASTIC MS CRISTAL is an elastomeric sealant based on MS polymer. It is neutral and does not contain isocyanates. After application, it cures under the effect of atmospheric humidity.
EMFIMASTIC MS CRISTAL has CE marking for following application: sealant for facade elements for interior applications according to European Standard EN 15651-1 (F-INT).

EMFIMASTIC MS CRISTAL can be used as a mounting adhesive and also for the sealing of interior facade elements, of cracks and the levelling of uneven surfaces.
EMFIMASTIC MS CRISTAL offers a very good adhesion on substrates commonly used in the building and general industry: concrete, plaster, stone, ceramic, wood, aluminium, zinc, stainless steel, copper, most of the lacquered metals, plastics (such as polyester, polystyrene, PVC, polycarbonate), glass, etc.

However, due to the large variety of substrates and installation conditions, it is necessary to make tests beforehand on difficult materials.

Substrates preparation:
The substrates must be even, dry, dust free and not have any traces of grease or other contaminants that could harm bonding.
If the substrates need to be cleaned, use EMFINET 683, methylethylketone (MEK) or acetone. For materials sensitive to ketones, use EMFINET 688/1 or ethanol.
Check their compatibility with the substrates.
If necessary, rub down metal surfaces beforehand. Clean them after rubbing down.
Allow to dry after degreasing.
It is recommended to rub down concrete, particularly cement film residue, with a metal brush.
Note: when using solvents, extinguish all sources of ignition and carefully follow the safety and handling instructions given by the manufacturer.

EMFIMASTIC MS CRISTAL can be applied by a manual or pneumatic gun.
After application, use a putty knife to smooth the joint with soapy water.
This product should be used within 24 hours which follow the opening of the cartridge, otherwise the sealant could cure.
Do not apply at a temperature below 5°C.
Avoid any contact with non-cured polyurethanes during curing.

Tools can be cleaned with EMFINET 683, MEK, acetone or EMFICLEAN AL wipes before the sealant has completely cured. After curing, abrasion is necessary.
